A. Tuning Fork- This can be used to check hearing. You will be asked where you hear the musical tone loudest.

B. Curettes- these instruments are used to pull out wax from your ears.

C. Microscope- this instrument is used to look in ears and magnifies the image.

D. Otic wick- placed in the ear canal when it is very swollen to help get ear drops where they need to go

E. Otoscope- used to see inside the ear canal, visualize the ear drum and the middle ear space.

F. Speculums- Used on the otoscope to see inside your ear. They come in different sizes to accommodate both big and little ears.

G. Suction instruments- These special straws are attached to a special ear vacuum to help clean out ear canals that are filled with wax or infection.

H. Aligator forceps- These are used to grab and remove foreign objects.
