Covid-19 Information

COVID-19 Pandemic Response

We remain open with normal business hours at this time. In order to help our patients, we are now offering virtual visits as well. Please let us know if you would prefer this type of visit instead.

Clinic Visits

If your child is still coming in for an in-person visit, please stay in your car, and call the office number to let us know you are here. We will call you in once your appointment time is ready. We have closed our clinic appointments at Yale Hospital to reduce exposure of your child to the hospital environment, but the Madison, Shelton, and North Haven offices remain open at this time.

If your child has any of the following, please let us know:

Fever higher than 101.4
Cough/runny nose/cold symptoms
Exposure to someone with COVID-19 or being tested for COVID-19.
New decreased ability to smell
Muscle weakness

Please make sure both you and your child have a mask. Please practice safe social distancing at all times, including staying at least six feet away from the nearest person. Thank you for understanding!

Virtual Visits

We are now using doximity.com for all future virtual visits so you can see your provider face-to-face from the comfort of your home. This is a secure video-call which is encrypted and HIPAA compliant, and does not require you to download a www app or any www software. All it requires is that you have a cellphone with video and texting capabilities, and that you have given us your cell phone number (not your landline!).

Here’s how it works:

– At the time of your appointment, you will receive a text message with a link to join your provider (standard texting rates may apply)

– Press the link in your text message

– Your provider will join the video conference call

– You’ll then be connected!

Here’s step by step instructions in English and Spanish.

If you do not have a cellphone with a camera, or would like to just use audio, we can do that as well.
